A SEM image of the greywacke sample TTGW_11_3 brought to failure in triaxial conditions. The deformed sample was mounted in epoxy resin and cut and polished for imaging within the SEM. This image displays the shear fracture and its filling material. A microfracture network is visible to the left side of the primary shear fracture.
