Location of the Los Humeros, Mexico. Los Humeros caldera is located at the eastern part of the trans Mexican volcanic belt (Ferrari et al. 2012). Inside the TMVF are 2 more power plants under exploitation. The Cerritos Colorados power plant is under construction. The total installed capacity of electricity generation using geothermal sources in Mexico is 975.5 MWe (Gutiérrez-Negrín 2020). DEM: INEGI 2020.*Power plant under construction
