Distribution of the permeability modeled by the GPPT for different lithology and facies classes. a The permeability is normally distributed within the limestone and dolostone groups, but shows a wide scattering over several orders of magnitude. Dolomitic limestone shows on average higher permeability with a bimodal distribution. bd The permeability tends to be higher with increasing particle size for (dolomitic) limestone. Dolostone shows a similar correlation with the crystal size, but not as pronounced as for the limestone groups
