Location of Ikogosi Warm Spring in the basement complex of Nigeria (after Adegbuyi and Abimbola[1997]). The dominant geology of Nigeria made mainly by crystalline (Precambrian basement complex) and sedimentary rocks (Cretaceous recent sediments) are also represented. The map also shows the locations of seismicity (modified from Eze et al. [2011]). The Ibadan and Ijebu Ode locations of seismicity appear closest to the study area.
